Canon Portable Printer
There are three main competing companies in the portabale printer market and Canon are one these, along with HP and Brother. Canon is one of the market leaders and a canon portable printer will undoubtedly be a sound investment for the savvy traveller.

For this money you get a 30-sheet paper tray, color and black and white output on both legal and A4 paper. The resolution is only 720x360dpi, but for under a hundred dollars you can't be wrong with this printer. Although it can be battery powered this is not included so make sure you budget this into your cost. The replacement Canon BJC-85 is also a fantastic little printer with wireless, infrared printing built in and tweaked performance.
The Canon i70 Color Bubble Jet Printer also deserves a mention. With a resolution of 4800x1200 dpi and 13ppm in black and white and 9ppm in color, it rivals desktop models in quality and speed. It also has true borderless printing (perfect for photos) and wireless printing built in. Reviews of the i70 have almost always been top-notch with comments like:
